Hi, i’m Erika.

I was born and raised in LA with a tiger mom and grandma who showed love and care by being honest, direct, and at times by being straight up mean. The traditional soft therapy approach isn't for everyone, and being raised like this, it makes sense why it didn't work for me.

I've spent years working with adolescents in community programs as well as formally teaching high schoolers for years in Japan. The years I spent traveling around Asia were crucial for reconnecting with my own heritage and culture.

I spent 15 years in advertising working for huge brands. I had the opportunity to travel and live all over the country and world doing research studying people, media, and products. Feeling burnt out working in the for-profit space, I left my life in London to work for an organization stateside that builds digital platforms for non-profts and haven't looked back since. In addition to my therapy practice, I continue to work in the tech for good space and use my psychology background to run workshops, research, and strategy for organizational change management.
