My belief is that if someone is paying money for therapy, they deserve a therapist who will tell them what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear.

I prioritize getting to know clients deeply, establishing trust and understanding, and then together we dive into the exploration of change and self exploration.

This often looks like helping people push past their comfort zones to address difficult truths or unhelpful behaviors. I lovingly challenge my clients when I see them repeating patterns, naming avoidance, or excuses. I believe that human connection with a level of candor and non-judgement is what leads to self acceptance and change.

I see my clients' strength, intuition, and resilience and I trust that my clients can handle the truth.

My 'real talk,' 'tough love,' or 'mean' approach is only to help people get out of their own way so they can fully step into to being the leader of their own healing and growth.

Often, the longer I work with a client, my therapeutic style will shift. At first DBT, CBT, or Harm Reduction might need to be the focus, but as the individual grows we might shift into more Psychodynamic, Existential, Parts work, or Narrative therapy. Regardless, I use an integrative approach to suit where the client is in the moment.

who I work with

I love working with all different types of clients.

I have particular experience working with over functioning leaders, men looking to improve their relationship with themselves and their partner, all types of women's issues, adolescents, people exploring non-traditional relationships, people in the queer community, people in the sex work community, and individuals of Asian descent—with my cultural background, some clients feel like they have to explain less.
